The games developer Giants Software from the Greater Zurich Area has sold more than 1.5 million units since the launch of the new Farming Simulator 22 on November 22. According to a press release, the new game will be available on PC and consoles. Giants is self-publishing the game itself for the first time. It goes on to add that Farming Simulator 22 will be available in more regions and to more players than ever before.
According to CEO of Giants Software Christian Ammann, successfully building international structures to transfer an already huge series like Farming Simulator into a self-published brand with new impulses is not to be taken for granted. He adds: “The great collaboration with our partners ensured a fantastic launch.”
Boris Stefan, acting Head of Publishing at Giants since April 2020, values the success of the first weeks and the feedback from players. He comments: “Our plan to lead and manage all aspects of publishing communications to achieve the company's strategic goals was met.”
According to the press release, Farming Simulator 22 also offers new machines and additional crops such as sorghum as well as grapes and olives. There are new game areas such as production chains to build up agricultural empires and also changing seasons.
