Schlieren ZH - HeiQ has been awarded for its textiles processing innovations. The jury of the renowned business magazine CFI.co selected the technology firm as the winner of a Global Award 2021 in recognition of its expertise in the field of material innovations.

HeiQ, the textiles processing specialist based in Schlieren in the Greater Zurich Area, has been awarded a Global Award 2021 by CFI.co. The Global Awards are handed out across several categories on an annual basis by Capital Finance International (CFI), a renowned business magazine based in the town of Watford on the northern fringes of London. According to a press release issued by HeiQ, the jury selected the company as the Best Materials Innovation Experts for 2021.

HeiQ is a three-in-one company, the CFI.co jury explains in its evaluation. It combines scientific research, materials manufacturing and consumer branding under one roof. “We don’t talk to just our customers”, HeiQ states in outlining its philosophy, “we talk to their customers, talk to the brands”. Innovations and specifications are implemented at brand level. Speed is a key part of the innovation cycle, with HeiQ having proven that it can take a product from the concept stage to materialization and market in record time, CFI writes in a press release covering the awards.

HeiQ was founded in 2005 in the form of a spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH). The company is headquartered at the IJZ, an innovation and start-up park located in Schlieren, and is a member of Start Smart Schlieren. HeiQ also operates subsidiaries in nine countries. Around half of the company’s 250 employees joined the group in 2021.
