Dübendorf/Zurich - Angst+Pfister is investing in the Innovation Park Zurich. The international technical component manufacturer is the project’s first large industry partner. The development phase is now starting after completion of the political process.

The Innovation Park Zürich (IPZ) has gained Angst+Pfister as an investor. According to a press release from the Innovation Park Zurich Foundation, the internationally active manufacturer of high-performance components and engineering solutions based in Zurich has acquired a significant share in IPZ Property AG, which is responsible for completion of the project. Foundation Chairman Peter Bodmer commented: “This is the first time a renowned industry partner from Switzerland is investing in the Innovation Park Zurich.”

For Christof Domeisen, CEO and Board Delegate of Angst+Pfister, the Innovation Park Zurich is “the most exciting development project in Switzerland by far”. His company is convinced that close connection between research and development in one location creates an ideal platform for future success. Domeisen believes that the Dübendorf airfield site at the Innovation Park Zurich meets these conditions.

The project has now successfully completed the political processing stage with the final approval of the guarantee loan from Zurich Cantonal Council. Next, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH) and the University of Zurich will take on the existing aircraft hangars in the area. An architecture competition is already being held for the new buildings in the first development phase. Additionally, Andrea Claudio Thöny, Director of IPZ Property AG, states that more and more companies are showing interest in settling at the IPZ, adding: “Everything has been moving at a rapid pace since the political decisions were made”. hs
