Küsnacht ZH – Electric city runabout Microlino has passed the tests for EU homologation. Micro Mobility Systems AG, which is located in the Greater Zurich Area, plans to build the first vehicles in September, with series production set to begin by the end of the year.

The electric vehicle Microlino is one step closer to series production. As Micro Mobility Systems AGannounced, the city runabout has now passed the last tests for EU homologation, making it street legal all over Europe.

The Microlino is a combination of a motorcycle and car and offers space for two people. With a kerb weight of 450 kilograms, it is just 2.4 metres long and 1.5 metres wide.

The vehicle comes with two battery options: for the small battery (8 kilowatt hours) the vehicle has a range of 126 kilometres, while the larger one (14.4 kilowatt hours) reaches 202 kilometres. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 50 kilometres per hour in just five seconds and boasts a maximum speed of 90 kilometres per hour.

According to Micro Mobility Systems AG, the first test vehicles will be built by the end of September. Following several test drives and final adjustments, the vehicle is expected to go into series production in December. The vehicles will be built by Italian car manufacturer Tazzari.

The Microlino will be available first in Switzerland with a price tag of 12,000 euros, followed by other European countries.

With the Microlino, Micro Mobility Systems AG, which is located in Küsnacht in the canton of Zurich, is expanding its portfolio to include electric vehicles. Until now, the company has focused mainly on scooters and kickboards.
