Winterthur - Acodis has launched a new platform for the smart processing of documents such as PDFs and emails. The Acodis IDP Platform functions on the basis of machine learning technology. It aims to enable companies to convert any document in any language into structured data

The Winterthur-based start-up Acodis has launched a new platform for automated data extraction from business documents. The Acodis IDP Platform aims to enable large enterprises to convert any document in any language into structured data, further details of which can be found in a press release.

Data from scanned documents, PDFs and e-mails are still often entered manually into respective company systems, which is naturally a time-consuming process. With the help of the Acodis IDP Platform, this is now all set to change. The platform leverages new insights from machine learning research and is compatible with any document in any language, the press release explains.

“But now, documents such as PDFs, scans, or emails that hold valuable and business-relevant data ranging from figures, line items, or tables can be reliably turned into structured data regardless of document volume or complexity”, the press release states.

Acodis was founded in 2016 in Winterthur and currently employs 32 staff. The company is active in the area of Intelligent Document Processing (IDP).
