Wetzikon - Reichle & De-Massari AG (R&M) has launched a program focused on the market for renewable energies. This offers particularly robust network technologies and services for the copper and fiber optic data networks of the wind, solar and hydropower industries.

R&M is launching a portfolio of network technologies and services specially for the increasingly digitalized wind, solar and hydropower industries. The solutions developed by the globally active developer and provider of high-end infrastructure solutions for data and communications networks from Wetzikon in the canton of Zurich combine sensors and controllers in power plants and solar fields with computers, monitoring systems, and control centers, further details of which can be found in a press release. Moreover, they facilitate rapid data traffic with energy providers.

In general, the network technology and services for the copper and fiber optic data networks of the power plant operators tend to be used in large onshore and offshore installations that can only be controlled remotely and use 5G radio, virtualization and Artificial Intelligence (AI). For example, R&M offers detailed solutions for the complete cabling of windfarms.

With its long-lasting and universally applicable plug-and-play cabling systems, the R&M portfolio was specifically compiled for long distances and harsh operating conditions both offshore and at sea. According to information from the company itself, it takes into account the efforts of operators to reduce material, installation, operation and maintenance costs. The cabling products in this portfolio are tried and tested in outdoor and underground cabling applications as well as for ship cabling, which is just as demanding as the network equipment of offshore wind power plants.

Founded in 1964, the family company operates proprietary production facilities at 14 locations worldwide. According to R&M, the company is able to supply pre-assembled and ready-to-install cabling solutions. ce/mm
