Locatee is becoming part of Tango. Founded in 2014, the Zurich-based company has developed a holistic analysis tool to determine the optimal use of office space. Locatee’s solution combines data from sensors with information from other sources such as Wifi and wired networks. This provides companies with a complete picture of the occupancy of their workstations, enabling better use of space and cost savings.
Tango, which is based in Dallas, plans to combine the Locatee solution with its cloud-based software for real estate management and facilities maintenance. Space utilization rates under 40 per cent on average, Pranav Tyagi is quoted as saying in a statement. “Organizations are actively seeking to better understand occupancy levels,” adds the Tango CEO.
Locatee’s Zurich office will become Tango’s European headquarters. “We are excited to combine occupancy data at the building, floor, and zone level with Tango’s industry leading space management and reservation solutions to provide customers with a complete picture of planned, forecasted and actual occupancy,” commented Myriam Locher, Co-CEO of Locatee.
Benedikt Köppel has a similar view. “Tango is a leader in the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning in the built environment,” said the Locatee founder and Co-CEO. “Locatee adds a rich occupancy data set to the massive amounts of data Tango already analyzes, which will deliver insights that benefit the entire real estate lifecycle including portfolio strategy, space optimization, maintenance, and sustainability.”
