Zurich - Aspaara has expanded the application area of its algorithm-based software for personnel planning to cover the needs of the vaccination campaign. Two vaccination centers have now become the first sites to use the software solution to coordinate shift plans.

The vaccination centers in Königsfelden and Baden, both of which are located in the canton of Aargau, have been equipped with the personnel planning software developed by Aspaara. According to a press release, other vaccination centers are set to follow suit. The software can be used to efficiently deploy specialist personnel, which are unfortunately few and far between, while also taking into account personal time preferences and the needs on site.

Headquartered in Technopark Zurich, Aspaara Algorithmic Solutions AG is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) supplier of planning solutions for operations that require a lot of staff. Hospitals, rail and transport companies, auditors and airport ground handlers are currently among the company’s client base.

In further developing its software “under high pressure” for the vaccination centers, the Zurich-based start-up benefited from the results of an ongoing scientific project conducted by the research partners Innosuisse and the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). The introduction of the software at the two Aargau vaccination centers was supported by the Health Innovation Hub of Baden Cantonal Hospital.
