Zurich – The fintech company TaxLevel has entered an agreement to integrate an authentication solution developed by the ETH spin-off Futurae into its own platform.

The data processing and visualization specialist TaxLevel is partnering with Futurae, a spin-off from the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich.

Within the agreement, TaxLevel, which works with financial intermediaries, has integrated Futurae’s authentication technology into its platform, according to a statement.

The technology is a comprehensive so-called Authentication Suite that uses a machine learning algorithm to authenticate users via ambient noise. Its core product is SoundProof, a two-factor authentication solution that works without user interaction.

“With Futurae we offer our customers the next level in usability and thereby increase the IT security of our platform,” commented Wolfgang Millat, CEO of TaxLevel.

TaxLevel and Futurae both hail from the Greater Zurich Area. TaxLevel is headquartered in Birmensdorf in the canton of Zurich and Futurae in Zurich itself.
