Autoneum is launching the online application Acoustic Garage. This enables vehicle manufacturers to put together product combinations virtually and calculate the acoustic performance of all the selected components. In addition, multiple technologies for a specific component can be compared on the basis of selected criteria, such as lightweight construction, sustainability and aesthetics. According to a press release, the configurator offers billions of possible combinations to choose from.
Autoneum is reportedly the first automotive supplier worldwide to launch an online configurator for the acoustic management of vehicles. The product is based on expertise of the Winterthur company in the field of simulation. Internally developed software calculates acoustic performance, while fluid 3D animations ensure visual clarity.
