The start-up kasko2go, which is based in Zug, has agreed a collaboration with the Japanese company Hitachi High-Tech, according to a post on LinkedIn. Together, the partners intend to conduct a feasibility study to increase traffic safety on Japanese roads. The technology developed by kasko2go is to be used for this. It allows the likelihood of road accidents to be predicted accurately, with the relevant evaluation accordingly based on parameters such as the quality of the roads, traffic jams and weather conditions.
Dimitri Wulich, COO of kasko2go, was quoted in an article on startupticker.ch: “Following a year of intensive research, Hitachi High-Tech selected us as a partner in order to jointly develop a technology for a project to improve road safety. We are particularly proud of the fact that our algorithm is the relevant component for this joint solution”.
The technology developed by kasko2go is in future also set to be used to improve roads in Switzerland. To this end, the start-up is working with an insurance partner in the form of Dextra.
