Ibach SZ – Six products innovated by the long-standing Swiss brand Victorinox have won the Red Dot Design Award. Among the winning innovations are pocket knives, household knives and backpacks.

Victorinox gained world fame with its red pocket knives. The brand’s range also includes household and professional knives, luggage, watches and fragrances. Six of its products have now won the Red Dot Design Award.

The winning innovations are the Wine Master and Jetsetter@work Alox pocket knives, the new household knives collection entitled Swiss Modern, the Rath rucksack and two business rucksacks in the Altmont Professional collection.

The Red Dot Design Award is one of the world’s biggest international design competitions, with its eponymous awards honouring products that set new standards in innovation, quality and functionality. Over the years, Victorinox has won several “red dots” for its product innovations.  

Victorinox is headquartered in the canton of Schwyz in the Greater Zurich Area. A family-run company with a history dating from the 19th century, its products are now available in 120 countries. In 2017, it had 2,100 employees and a turnover of around 475 million Swiss francs.
