One of this year’s awards from the Global Industrie trade fair in Paris has gone to Big Kaiser, a manufacturer of high-precision tool systems and solutions for the metalworking industry based in the Greater Zurich Area. It is receiving the award in the Productive Performance category for its fully automated fine boring tool EWA.
EWA was nominated for the award by Boulland DPM, a long-term sales partner of Big Kaiser based in France. Giampaolo Roccatello, Head of Sales and Marketing, explains in a press release: “Boulland DPM has been a competent partner and supplier of Big Kaiser’s tool systems in France for over thirty years. We are grateful towards Boulland DPM and are delighted that the EWA has been honored with this prestigious award for its high level of automation and pioneering role in Industry 4.0 applications.”
The Global Industrie Awards were established in 2018 and are awarded at the Global Industrie trade fair in Paris. Last year, the trade fair attracted 2,500 exhibitors and 45,000 visitors from across the world. It has been cancelled for 2020 due to COVID-19. The organizers announced the seven winners chosen by the jury despite this. An awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in Paris in the fall of this year.
