Zurich/Schaffhausen – The computer game Nimbatus produced by Stray Fawn Studios has been awarded the main prize at the seventh edition of the Swiss Game Awards. The Greater Zurich Area also claimed the special prize and the public prize as well.

At this year’s Swiss Game Awards organized by the Swiss Game Developers Association (SGDA), three companies from the Greater Zurich Area emerged victorious at the final stage. The game Nimbatus - The Space Drone Constructor, produced by Stray Fawn Studios based in Zurich, took home the main prize, the SGDA states in a press release. The computer game was praised by the jury for its “depth of gameplay and visual uniqueness”, the press release explains.

The special prize for Excellence in Execution was awarded to the game Transport Fever 2 developed by Urban Games from Schaffhausen. In this context, the jury were impressed by the production quality behind the computer game, the SGDA writes. The Audience Choice Award, which is decided by an online public vote, went to Unrailed!, the debut game from Indoor Astronaut based in Zurich.

The prizes were awarded on July 1 during the Ludicious & SGDA Game Awards Night. The Zurich gaming festival Ludicious has developed into an important meeting point for games developers. The best online games from international games developers and emerging talents are showcased and honored. One of the event’s aims is also to increase the international recognition of Swiss developers.
